Hello

Welcome to Winning Women, and the first of our monthly newsletters.

Winning Women is the fastest growing women’s network in the North West. Friendly, dynamic and enterprising, our aim is to help women succeed. It’s about good friends and good practise; knowing what’s out there, and getting the introductions and invitations to get out there yourself…

That’s why we’ve created this newsletter — we’ll keep you informed not only of what we’re doing, but of what other people are doing too. In fact, if you’re doing something you think we should know about, click here to email us, so we can let others know…

Enjoy Winning Women — we think this is the beginning of something big …

The world of Winning Women

We kicked off the Winning Women events season with the visit of Ann Widdecombe to Liverpool’s Cotton Club, compered by award-winning comedian Mark Maier. Ms Widdecombe took centre stage at the sell-out event, sharing her stories and tips on getting into politics, her writing career and public speaking, before a Q&A session, when she was quizzed variously on image, women in business and whether blondes have more fun.

You can take a look at the DVD of the evening here, and sign up for our upcoming events below.
We followed up with a nifty networking night, celebrating the relaunch of Est Est Est at the Albert Dock. Cocktails, four courses and our picture in the paper for £10... Want to join in? Sign up below…

‘Tis the season to drink bolly…

Some say it’s the cabaret, others prefer the workshops, but unquestionably, the best thing about Winning Women is the fun you have in the line of duty.
We’ve got two more events between now and Christmas — at Mosquito on Thursday 10th November for cocktails and canapés, and our Christmas Cabaret on December 15th with Faye Presto. Click here to email Jo and book your place, or give her a call on 0151 703 1068. If you want to see what we’ve been up to so far — click here for our Winning Women photo gallery.

How well do you know yourself?

Personal profiling and positive thinking.

Understand yourself, the people around you, and learn to get the best out of a situation with Winning Women’s behavioural profiling tool.
Know when you're stressed, and why you're stressed, so you can turn the situation around to your satisfaction.

Recognise not only what makes you tick and how you react to specific situations — but what drives and motivates the people around you. Handy, eh?
Know where you’re going, and find the tools, skills and resources to support you on the way.
Behavioural profiling is just one of the courses and resources Winning Women offers — click here for more information.

Your personal network — does it help or hinder?

Develop or alter your life by changing and building your support network: Ray Pahl’s new book, Thinking Friendship: Hidden Solidarities Today, says the average person needs a network of 18 friends and relatives to help them survive the practical and emotional struggles of daily life.
Your network changes according to the stage of life you’re at: it might include friends who share a hobby, someone to pick up the kids from school, or a friend or relative to counsel you through a divorce.
Have a look at the Winning Women site here, and start building your network now.

And, if you don’t have the time to read or network, just don’t like emails, or think Winning Women’s not for you, you can unsubscribe by clicking here, and sending us a quick email. We promise we’ll take you straight off the mailing list.
